Austin Game Conference 2.0
Relaunched AGC 10 years later, after the acquiring company shut the event down (see The Game Initiative below). AGC provided critical insight into online games. Conference tracks topics have included Design, Technical, Production, Virtual Reality / Augmented Reality, Audience Development, Audio and Business.
Digital Kids Media / Engage Digital
Digital Kids Media operated the Digital Kids Conference and Summit series (originally Engage Conference and Expo). Events provided companies the critical information they needed to reach digital kids and connected youth through online and mobile technologies. The New York Digital Kids Conference was held in conjunction with Toy Fair.
LivePitch Media
LivePitch Media created and produced custom entrepreneur and investor-focused conferences and pitch events for AARP. The AARP LivePitch Startup Demo Day was the premier entrepreneur-investor showcase featuring the most exciting companies targeting consumers over the age of fifty.
Tech Career Expo
Launched in partnership with SXSW, the Tech Career Expo showcased the best tech jobs and career opportunities from across the technology and interactive media industry. Positions range from development, design and engineering to management, marketing and sales.
The App Developers Conference
Fall (west coast) Engage Conference and Expo became the App Developers Conference before being sold to UBM Tech (formerly CMP Technology). Topics included mobile devices, tablets, televisions, autos and internet connected consumer electronics devices.
Virtual Worlds Conference and Expo
Virtual Worlds Conference and Expos in New York, San Jose, Los Angeles and London and the accompanying Virtual Worlds News website were the authority on the business of the Metaverse.
The Game Initiative
Created, produced and managed the Austin Game Conference (GDC Online) and 10 other conferences for game industry professionals. Sold the entire game industry event portfolio to UBM Tech (formerly CMP Technology) in 2006.
Texas Entrepreneur Initiative
Texas Entrepreneur Initiative created education and communication channels so community members can make contacts, uncover opportunities, and find answers that will help them grow their businesses. Key elements included high quality events and the AustinXL email newsletter.

Founded personalized music messaging service that allowed web businesses to generate sales and customer loyalty. Closed seed investors from eBay. Engaged in licensing negotiations and distribution partnerships with EMI Recorded Music, BMG Music, Warner Music Group, Rhino Records and others.
UGO Networks (UGO, LLC)
1996 to 1999
Founded, built and successfully sold online promotions company. Included a web publishing division, ad sales division and affiliate network division serving the $9 billion computer and video game market. Founded in 1996 and Sold in 1998.
Multimedia Wire
1994 to 1996
Founded ground breaking email and fax subscription-based, business-to-business news service focused on games, interactive entertainment and the web. Sold to Phillips Publishing, Inc. in 1996.
